Step 1: Install a Theme Compatible with Elementor #
Before starting, ensure that your WordPress site is using a theme compatible with Elementor. We recommend using Hello Theme, which is lightweight and fully optimized for Elementor.
1- Navigate to Appearance > Themes in your WordPress dashboard.
2- Click Add New.
3- In the search bar, type Hello Elementor.
4- Click Install, then click Activate after the installation is complete.
Step 2: Install and Activate Elementor #
1- Go to Plugins > Add New in your WordPress dashboard.
2- Search for Elementor using the search bar.
4- Click Install Now, and then click Activate once the installation is done
Step 3: Import the Template Kit #
1- Go to WP Admin:
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Elementor > Tools.
- In the right pane, click on the Import/Export Kit tab.
- Scroll down to the Import Kit section and click Start Import.
2- Upload the Kit:
- Drag and drop the exported
.zip
file into the window, or click Select File and navigate to the.zip
file on your computer.
3- Activate Required Plugins:
- Check all the plugins and click Next to proceed.
4- Select Which Parts to Import:
- Content: Pages and contents from the kit.
- Site Settings: Global settings like fonts, colors, and layouts.
Important Note:
- For New or One-Page Sites: Check the box for Content Settings to apply global fonts, colors, and layouts from the kit.
- For Existing Sites: Leave the Content Settings box unchecked to avoid overwriting your current site-wide settings.
5- Click Import:
Once your selection is finalized, click Import to begin the process.
6- Preview Your Website:
After the import is complete, click on close and preview your site by navigating to the front end or editing it with Elementor for further customization.
